Every minute of the day counts when you’re juggling soccer practice, gymnastics, tutoring, piano lessons, work, real estate, finances and holiday planning. A high demand life requires us to consistently perform at the top of our game. How do we thrive and succeed without getting tense, depleted and stressed out?
The Learning Tower, is one of those must-have items that I always recommend to parents of a toddler-ish aged child. It is not so known, as say a stroller or a crib, but it should be. It is a clever invention which helps children “join in” on grown-up activities, or on its own is a safe and sturdy contraption where a child can spend time enjoying activities. My 5-year-old Son, has used his since he was 2 years of age, and he is still happily spending time in it.
Deciding on a baby shower gift can be challenging, especially if you do not have a lot of money to spend. It is nice to remember that thoughtful gifts, will surely be more appreciated than spending additional money on something a Mother may not use.
Your baby is growing and getting bigger. This is an exciting time for both you and your child, as you get to watch the baby learn and explore the world. This is also the time to take some steps to keep your child safe in the nursery. As your child continues to grow, so does the importance of safety. Your child will want to touch and taste everything, without any awareness of potential danger. Put yourself in the perspective of your child and consider what areas or items in the nursery may be risky. The important thing is your child’s safety, rather than how the room looks. These ten simple steps will help you transform your baby’s room into a safe haven for fun, play and exploration.
Play time is important for children to develop skills, to learn how to share and to use their imaginations. One way that young children explore the world is by sucking and chewing on those toys. Unfortunately, many toys have hidden hazards within them. Choosing the right toys that are fun but also safe is an important part of parenting your children.
Oh, how being pregnant for the first time changes your life, in more ways than one. Besides the complete upheaval of your life, there is a little voice in the back of your head wondering how you are even going to look after this little defenseless creature? However, a couple of months in you are rocking and rolling in that department, wondering what you were even worried about in the first place. As it is second nature, and as sure as brushing your teeth you soon figure out how to look after a newborn just fine.
Here at Willy B Mum, we are very excited to be working along side an array of fabulous bloggers across the United States and Canada, to help spread the word about Margaux and May.
Margaux and May, are a baby product company who are steering away from the cliché baby animals, blues and pinks you generally see when you think “newborn”. Instead, they are putting Mom first, with more “grown up” designs leaning towards style and sophistication. And, you can see that, with the bold print on the twin-set of the organic swaddle blankets we are giving away to our readers.
I put all this energy, during my pregnancy, so that my Son would have his space and his room and in my pregnant mind that is where he was always going to sleep: alone, happy, long, long hours. I am such a sound and good sleeper that not even for one brief moment I thought my baby could be any different. Or maybe it was just the denial of the possibility driven by my own attachment to precious undisturbed sleep.
Welcome to our week-long giveaway that we are co-hosting with a fabulous group of mommy bloggers from across the United States and Canada.

My little munchkin turned 4 years of age last week, and I mean, I do not even know where the time went. It seems like yesterday that I was pregnant, freaking out about how my husband and I were going to be able to look after a baby, and wondering whether I was going to be a good Mum? I guess, time flies when you are having fun, and I sure have had a ton of fun so far raising my Son. He is the Apple Of My Eye, and I am so happy he came along. It is really hard to look back and remember a life without him.
